Quality and efficiency are very good appearance they are trustworthy… i like the quality of this product for the quality of the goods i can give it play out, it is really very easy to use and quick, reliable products. Bristan QST BAS2 C Chrome Plated Quest 2 Handled Basin Mixer with Clicker Waste

  • Operates on a minimum operating pressure of 0.2 bar, maximum of 8.0 bar.
  • Metal handle(s).
  • 1/4 Turn, 1/2 ” Ceramic Disk Valves.
  • Flow rate – 18.5 litres per minute @ 0.5 bar pressure.
  • Suitable for all plumbing systems.
  • Inlet connections M10 x 15mm copper connecting pipes (supplied).
  • Supplied with clicker waste.

Nice looking and solid taps. Easy to install but would benefit from a better rubber seal and some sort of lock nut to stop them turning.

Purchased to replace like for like after abrasive cleaner incident.

It’s very solidly made and doesn’t have one of those annoying push rod contraptions which always seem to malfunction. Instead it has a clicker waste – press to engage and press to pop up and empty the basin. I’ve teamed it with a stylish contemporary white basin and they compement each other.

  1. We have replaced a single lever sink tap with this tap. We like the design and much better quality than previous single lever taps ( which have always ended up faulty). We will be ordering the bath shower version soon.

    1. The wastes however don’t fit standard pipework/traps and some of the bristan taps come with flexible hoses (despite the fitting. This tap was brought as a replacement for a grohe of a similar design. The problem was low water pressure form the full bore 15mm pipework which was not firing the instantaneous boiler, the hot water was then used up in pipes and only cold was coming from hot pipework. This tap came with copper tails and so gave enough flow to fire the boiler. The tap itself is well made and i fit several every year, the wastes however don’t fit standard pipework/traps and some of the bristan taps come with flexible hoses (despite the fitting details showing copper) which like the grohe are made for high pressure systems which many older systems in uk have flow problems.

    The tap is excellent but the supplied pop up plug drains very slowly.

    A good quality tap at a reasonable price. I bought one for the en suite & one for a small corner basin in the cloakroom. These replaced some poor quality mixer taps bought for around £12 each 6 months earlier. The cheaper taps made a nasty gushing noise when turned on. No such problems with the bristan taps. Bristan would have got 5 stars but for the fact they don’t include flexible hoses in the box. Strangely the £12 taps did come with flexible hoses which i was able to re-use. I would definitely recommend this product.
