Deva TUD01 Tudor Basin Tap, The action is nice and easy

First of all, i didn’t buy my deva tudor chrome basin taps through amazon. My basins are fitted with what look similar but not quite the same as the ‘viscount’ model of chrome traditional/victorian basin taps sold by a number of amazon market place sellers. The pair in the bathroom needed attention. Unfortunately, due to limescale, i couldn’t undo the round collar which covers the tap valve with the view to perhaps repairing them, so replacement was the only other option. I eventually came across these alternative deva tudor basin taps. (they are also sold by wickes as ‘classic’ taps). They seem well made and the collar has flats on them so a spanner can fit around them. Hopefully, future repairs should be a lot easier in theory. Imho, the viscount basin tap do look a bit nicer with its cleaner rounded spout and edges.

I fitted them myself, they work and don’t leak – so far at least.

The action is nice and easy. Bought to replace a tap that was eating washers. The plumber fitted these with ease and the nozzles produce a slight spray effect which i know is going to save me water. The action is nice and easy, they are solid and the quality of the finish is good. Lining up the hot/cold words on the top was pretty easy as well.
