GROHE 23337000 BauLoop Basin Mixer Tap : a cheaper version from Victoria Plumb that made a terrible din when turned on

Great tap but needs adapter for uk plumbing. Very nice tap – typical grohe quality. One thing to note is that the tap comes with non-removable 12mm pipe tails so you will require a reducing coupler to connect it to standard uk 15mm plumbing. I think this is the case for all grohe taps so not a problem particular to this model. I picked up a couple of these from my local screwfix and they work a treat: http://www. Com/p/brass-coupling-15mm-x12/88346.

Still in the box, but it’s the make i know and trust.

Tap installed about a month ago and it very good, of course. We’ve had this tap installed about a month ago and it very good, of course, it’s grohe. Stylish, but the pipes weren’t standard sizes compared to. Stylish, but the pipes weren’t standard sizes compared to normal uk pipes so had to get an adapter.

Reviews from purchasers :

  • Great tap but needs adapter for UK plumbing
  • Lovely tap, but beware of euro-style 3/8″ tails
  • Beware needs extra fittings

Beware needs extra fittings. Nice quality but doesn’t tell you that you need adaptors to fit to normal uk pipes. Also the box wasn’t sealed and inside the tap was wrapped in toilet paper inside the bubble bag which isn’t how products come from a factory, i suspect this was a return resold in the black friday sales.

The tap itself is brilliant quality as you would expect from grohe but unfortunately the pipe fittings are european and don’t fit the british pipes. Had to spend about £20 to buy conversion kit. Should be mentioned in the description.

      1. Lovely tap, but beware of euro-style 3/8″ tails. Excellent quality tap, smooth action, nice aeration – loses a star for failing to state in the description that you’ll need a 3/8″ male adapter as the tails have 3/8″ female ends and will not fit 15mm isolation valves – i only found this out today 10 months after i bought them (black friday deal) and i now see that other reviewers have pointed this out too. Most would say “just swap the tails” but they don’t seem to unscrew from the tap body so i decided to use adapters instead. I grabbed these from toolstation to connect directly to isolating valves (15mm to 3/8″ tap tail adapters): http://www. Com/shop/plumbing/d20/flexible+connectors/sd2807/tap+tail+adaptors/p63663.

    1. A cheaper version from victoria plumb that made a terrible din when turned on. After buying and installing a cheaper version from victoria plumb that made a terrible din when turned on, this tap is blissfully quiet in operation. The victoria plumb one has gone in the bin.
