Grohe best manufacturer on the market. This is a great tap at a fantastic price but like other reviewers said if you want it to fit uk pipework you will need 2 adapters – male g3/8′ (m12x17mm) female g1/2′ (f15x21mm) one for cold one for hot which i bought from amazon but if you cut and paste the adaptors name from my review they will pop up in the amazon search engine.

Tap is great but plumbing tails were a pain to find correct adaptors. You need an adaptor from your existing plumbing to a 3/8 bsp (there is most likely a metric equivalent to this but its not a straightforward 3/8′ to mm conversion. Apologies to any plumbers reading this. Eventually got these, also from amazon. 15mm compression by 3/8′ bsp male iron thread european flexible tap adapters (pair).

All you novices out there ,it is obvious you need adaptors for mixer taps ,and these are widely availiable from plumbing shops b&q /wicks /plumbshops plumworld etc /thank you ,a fully qualified master plumber who are pleased to be called out for your mistakes ,easy money to e made.

  3. The tap is great design and looks good. The tap is great design and looks good. The supplies to tap are only 6mm/8mm and tend to restrict flow even with mains pressure water the flow rate is not good.

    Looks great and feels well-engineered. Moving the handle is smooth in all directions and the water flow is “soft” so it doesn’t splash out of a shallow basin, even on full flow.

    1. Non standard non-removable flexi hose, do not buy to use in the uk. . Comes with non uk standard fitting flexi hose tails, but unlike every other tap i’ve ever seen these cannot be removed. Others suggested buying various adapters to convert from the european screw thread fitting to 15mm compression fitting, however i needed a screw thread fitting as my previous tap’s tails just screwed directly onto the male thread of the isolation valves. Eventually i found some adapters that worked perfectly: https://www. Uk/gp/product/b019mavqni/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o08_s00?ie=utf8&psc=1as to the pressure, we have a high pressure system with a combi boiler and unvented pressurised hot water tank (megaflo), and the water flow rate is fine although not quite as high as the previous tap.
