Bought 2 for double sink, tall elegant taps & v easy to use with 1 hand.

Nice tap but be sure to bed the waste on plumber’s sealant. The tap looks better in reality than it does in internet images. It has a working pressure from 0. 1 bar to 10 bar – above 5 bar a pressure reducer is recommended – so it will work with most systems; albeit that the hot and cold pressures should be balanced. The grohe application notes state it can be used with; ‘. Pressurised storage heaters, thermally and hydraulically controlled instantaneous heaters. Operation with low pressure displacement water heaters is not possible. ‘ good quality flexible hoses come pre-fitted with the tap. These have a 3/8’ bsp union so if your existing 15mm od copper pipes to your tap(s) have a reducing coupler, the flexibles should fit without a problem. There is an adjustable flow rate limiter, but if you have a low pressure system the factory setting (at maximum) will probably be fine.

    If this tap was a person, it would pay 40% tax. The process of buying a tap for a specific basin is a minefield, and it took me weeks to decide on buying this. I previously had some cheapish mixer tap from a plumbing retailer of a past era, and my god, what a difference in quality you get for spending a few more penniesthis tap is robust and just feels quality when you use it, even the water comes out differently, as if it has just been bumped up a tax code and is slightly more elite to other water droplets. Grohe are renowned for being a premium brand, and if you think about how long this will last you, it makes good sense to pay the extra.

    Quality as expected from grohe. It is kind of big so measure up before you buy. Its cheaper than buying from local merchant.
