Smeg Imola Single Lever Mixer Tap Chrome Finish, Excellent, Quality Tap – Very Pleased

Delivered earlier than expected – all parts in mint condition. The only drawback for me was that i had push-fit fittings under my kitchen sink and this tap doesnt come with the appropriate converter. Other than that it’s a solid, smart looking peice of kit.

Brilliant tap which works fine on a low pressure. . Have you seen the price of this tap in b&q?. 99 add to this the fact that it’s solid, heavy, and obviosly finely chromed on brass. The tap is very easy to fit. As a diyer of 80+ i replaced a triflow tap with this one and a separate filter faucet in 2 1/2 hours. This included disconnecting the double waste system to get to the tap position. Apart from the ease of fitting it works on a minimum pressure of 0. I haven’t measured my hot water pressure but the head of water is not that great as we live in a bungalow and the tank is not that high above the kitchen ceiling level.

Excellent, quality tap – very pleased. After being horrified at the price of taps, we considered whether we can save a bit of money and go for something less expensive. Whilst this tap is not insignificant, its a lot cheaper than the £600 tap my wife decided she liked. We are so pleased with the results – it really is a beautiful and functional tap. Control is easy with the leaver, the flow is excellent and has a device which softens the flow (reducing splash). Although you cannot see it from all the pictures, the aperture of the tap is round, so you get a smooth rather than flat flow. I would strongly recommend this tap for anyone who is having nightmares about tap prices, but does not want compromise of looks or quality.
